In creating experiences across all channels for the Square hardware portfolio, it became clear a third style of art direction was needed. We had environmental shots and renders, but we needed an in-between that highlighted the premium industrial design of Square devices and felt warm and approachable. We wanted the presence of a slight human touch or manipulation without the busyness of a real seller environment. The team led the ideation, vision, and creation of these assets, developing a new photo style for the entire organization, and also finding efficient ways to create these shots within existing shoots and budgets.
